Income of Kyrgyzstan President made public
Bishkek. August 12. Kazakhstan Today - Data on income of the President of the Republic, Kurmanbek Bakiyev, made public in Kyrgyzstan, the agency reports referring to public affairs service agency.
According to the declaration of the President of Kyrgyzstan, he has earned in 2007 689 thousand 500 soms (in 2006 - 634 thousand 100 soms).
According to Kyrgyzstan law, all civil servants are obliged to provide the agency of civil service affairs with the data on income, property and financial obligations, and also income data of their close relatives. According to the agency, K. Bakiyev has traditionally submitted his declaration among the first in March, 2008. However, the data were made public only on Monday, August 11.

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
