Influenza A (H1N1) revealed in 30 countries of the world

Almaty. May 12. Kazakhstan Today - As of May, 11th, World Health Organization (WHO) has been informed on 4694 cases of infection with a swine influenza A (H1N1) virus from 30 countries of the world. The new virus continues to spread across Europe. 196 cases of disease have been revealed in 14 countries, the agency reports citing the UN News Center.

The virus continues to spread in Northern and South America. 1626 laboratory confirmed diseases have been registered in Mexico. 48 people died. 2532 infected with the influenza A (H1N1) have been registered in the USA, 3 people died. 1 person died in Canada and 1 person died in Costa Rica. 214 people have been registered in Canada.

WHO received information on the confirmed cases without fatal outcomes from the following countries: Australia (1), Austria (1), Argentina (1), Brazil (8), Guatemala (1), Germany (11), Denmark (1), Israel (7), Ireland (1), Spain (95), Italy (9), China (2, including 1 in Hong Kong Special Administrative Area and 1 in Continental China), Colombia (3), the Netherlands (3), New Zealand (7), Norway (2), Panama (15), Poland (1), Portugal (1), the Republic of Korea (3), El Salvador (4), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (47), France (13), Sweden (2), Switzerland (1) and Japan (4).
