Japan does not plan to create joint venture on re-equipment of right steering automobiles in Kazakhstan

Almaty. June 14. Kazakhstan Today - Japan is not going to create in Kazakhstan joint ventures on re-equipment of right steering automobiles. The Chairman of the Independent Automobile Union Edward Edokov said today at the press conference.

"There was the information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, that the Ministry of Economics, Trade and Industry of Japan plans to create joint ventures on alteration of right steering automobiles to left steering. We had been surprised and sent inquiry to the Embassy of Japan. We were responded that the Japanese party considered all opportunities, but, considering the system of legislation of Kazakhstan, has come to the conclusion, that assistance and participation in joint projects on re-equipment of cars will be complex for Japan on the governmental and private level," E. Edokov said.

E. Edokov informed that the Automobile Union addressed all manufacturers of Japan with inquiries about legitimacy of alteration of right steering automobiles. "We received the response, I quote: " Corporation Mazda does not recommend any post selling updatings of the cars without full check and the approval by the company," he noted.
