Karaganda. June 12. Kazakhstan Today - The regional court of Karaganda pronounced verdict of not guilty to ex-akim of the city Yury Litvinov, the agency reports.
"The court pronounced Litvinov not guilty according to the item 308, part 4, item 314, part 3 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan. Litvinov is to be discharged on the basis of item 376, part 2, item 2 of the Criminal Legal Code of Kazakhstan in the absence of crime. Preventive punishment - written undertaking not to leave the place is to be cancelled," Sergey Shapel read the verdict.
As it was informed earlier, ex-akim of Karaganda Y. Litvinov was accused according to three clauses of the Criminal Code: 308 (exceeding one's authority), 314 (service forgery) and 315 (service inactivity.)

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
