Kazakhstan abolished Day of Republic

Astana. October 21. Kazakhstan Today - The Day of the Republic will not be celebrated in Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan.

According to the press service, the amendments to Law On Holidays of April 22, 2009 abolished the Day of the Republic holiday, which was earlier celebrated on October 25.

The head of state signed the Law on the amendments to the Law On Holidays in Kazakhstan on April 22, 2009. The law increases celebration days of Nauryz meyramy holiday - March 21 - March 23 and abolishes the Day of the Republic holiday.
