Kazakhstan citizens to have three days off on Day of Capital

Kazakhstan citizens will have 3 days off - July 4, 5 and 6 to celebrate Day of Capital - July 6th, the agency reports.

Almaty. July 3. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan citizens will have 3 days off - July 4, 5 and 6 to celebrate Day of Capital - July 6th, the agency reports.

The amendments to the Law on Holidays were introduced last year, according to which the new state holiday - Day of Capital (July 6) was introduced. According to the Law on Holidays in Kazakhstan, days of national and state holidays are non-working days. Hence, Kazakhstan citizens will have 3 days off on the occasion of celebration of Day of Capital on July 4, 5 and 6.

As informed earlier, on July 18th, 2008, Majilis passed the bill on introduction of amendments and additions to the Republic of Kazakhstan Law on Holidays in Kazakhstan, brought by the Committee for Welfare Development. According to the amendments a new state holiday Day of Capital - July, 6th was created."

July 6 is not only Day of Capital, but also birthday of the President of Kazakhstan - Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev. N. Nazarbayev was born on July 6th, 1940 in the village Chemolgan of Kaskelen area of Almaty region.
