Kazakhstan Ministry of Information and Communication develops work with foreign services to identify illegal content

In 2016, about 500 letters regarding over 150,000 informational materials were sent to the owners and administration of Internet resources of Kazakhstan Ministry of Information and communication.

Kazakhstan Today - Kazkhstan Minister of Information and Communication Dauren Abayev, at the expanded session of Board stated that the illegal content emerged as a global challenge. In 2016, about 500 letters regarding over 150,000 informational materials were sent to the owners and administration of Internet resources of Kazakhstan Ministry of Information and communication.

"I would like to focus on control and supervision of the Ministry. The Ministry monitors the information field for the observance of compliance with legislation. This is especially relevant now. The illegal content emerged as the global challenge. Its destructive impact on our citizens, especially young people and children should not be underestimated. You know it," the Minister of information and communication Dauren Abayev said.

The Ministry of Information and Communication has the close cooperation with leading foreign social networks and search engines in order to fight against illegal content. In this work focus is the resolving issues on warnings. In 2016, about 500 letters regarding over 150,000 informational materials were sent to the owners and administration of Internet resources of Kazakhstan Ministry of Information and communication.

"As a result, the owners deleted over 110, 000 illegal materials containing propaganda of terrorism and extremism, the cruelty, violence and suicide," the Minister added.
