Almaty. May 5. Kazakhstan Today - Kazakhstan plans by 2011 to construct the Eurasian Water Centre. The Minister of the Environmental Protection of Kazakhstan, Nurgali Ashimov, informed, the agency reports citing the site of the Environmental Protection Ministry.

"Kazgidromet has been monitoring water issues since last year. According to the data presented by other non-state companies, water in Kazakhstan is clean. Reliability of non-state analyses is doubtful," N. Ashimov said.

"As soon as the Eurasian Water Center is constructed, Kazgidromet will give up this responsibility. All water canals of Kazakhstan, all enterprises, which provide water to the population, should be registered in this centre. Consumers will be able to use the centre's site, request the necessary information, and receive the laboratory results," he explained.

According to the Minister, "if the manufacturer is dissatisfied with the results of the analysis, he has the right to press charges against the centre." "Water will be stored within 60 days and the analysis will be re-checked. After that, I think, a number of companies, delivering water, will disappear from the market."
