Kazakhstan President invited USSR ex-president to honor II Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions

Moscow. June 5. Kazakhstan Today - Today the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation Zhanseyit Tuymebayev met the ex-president of the USSR Michael Gorbachev, the Embassy press service informed the agency.

During the meeting the Ambassador handed over M. Gorbachev the letter of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev with the invitation to become the guest of honor at the II Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to take place in Astana in September, 20060.

During the meeting Z. Tuymebayev informed M. Gorbachev of the basic objectives and tasks of the international forum.

In his turn M. Gorbachev transferred the best regards to the President of Kazakhstan and all people of Kazakhstan and thanked for the invitation. The ex-President of the USSR noted the importance of the initiative of the leader of Kazakhstan on carrying out the forum of spiritual leaders of the countries of the world directed at preservation and strengthening of tolerant relations between various religions and faiths.
