A new mail recording system, introduced on January 7, 2019, will bring together data from several recording systems and reduce the delivery times by 40%. Chairman of the Board of JSC KazPost Saken Sarsenov has shared on his Facebook page.
Taking into consideration the paces of electronic commerce’s development, we have started the year 2019 by upgrading automatization procedures of receiving, handling and delivering parcels. A new mail recording system allowed integrating with foreign partners efficiently so that each client can track their parcels via post.kz within Kazakhstan and beyond. And most importantly, the automatization will virtually exclude the loss of parcels and reduce the delivery times (within Kazakhstan from 6 days to 3 days)," said the head of Kazpost.
Saken Sarsenov also noted that switching to the new system was not a one-time task. 3500 offices in Kazakh cities and localities joined the system, which may cause setbacks. Nevertheless, each complaint will be addressed, each parcel will be delivered.
To date, the situation with delayed deliveries is stable and Kazpost offices are operating as before. I think that after eliminating the latter problems, each client of Kazpost will feel changes," said Sarsenov.
Kazpost’s head added that in January 2017 Kazpost received 120 thousand parcels, in January 2018 – 500 thousand, and in incomplete January of 2019 over 1 million parcels have been received so far (without transit).
These figures once again demonstrate the paces of e-commerce’s development are colossal, the automatization and digitalization is the right choice," said Saken Sarsenov.
