Kuwait to open Embassy in Kazakhstan

Astana. May 28. Kazakhstan Today - Kuwait plans to open its Embassy in Kazakhstan. The Minister of National Security of the State Kuwait, the President of the Olympic Council of Asia, sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah informed today.

"There has come time to improve the level of cooperation in the field of policy, economy, trade, and cultural-humanitarian sphere. I would like to note that we plan to open the Embassy of Kuwait in the Republic Kazakhstan," Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah said at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Masimov in Astana.

In his turn, K. Masimov noted "there is a necessity to increase the number of the Kazakh-Kuwaiti joint ventures and not only in the sphere of energy, but also in other areas of economy."

According to the press service of the Kazakhstan Prime Minister, during the meeting the parties will exchange opinions on a large spectrum of mutual relations between Kazakhstan and Kuwait. The interlocutors discussed the questions of preparation for the VII Winter Asian Games that will be held in Almaty in 2011.

In the end of the meeting, K. Masimov invited the Prime Minister of Kuwait to visit Kazakhstan.
