Kyrgyzstan to import 300 thousand tons of grain from Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstan will import from Kazakhstan the earlier planned 300 thousand tons of grain despite of interdiction on export introduced by Kazakhstan. The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Igor Chudinov informed at the meeting with the delegates of the first congress of the National Party Ak Zhol, the agency reports.

Bishkek. April 29. Kazakhstan Today - Kyrgyzstan will import from Kazakhstan the earlier planned 300 thousand tons of grain despite of interdiction on export introduced by Kazakhstan. The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Igor Chudinov informed at the meeting with the delegates of the first congress of the National Party Ak Zhol, the agency reports.

He explained that such an arrangement has been reached during the meeting of the President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev with the leader of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. According to I. Chudinov, the stock will suffice for the country for three months in case of unforeseen situation.

According to Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister, Kyrgyzstan considers the possibility of distribution of flour to 291 thousand families at reduced prices.

As of today, Kyrgyzstan state stocks possess 62 thousand tons of grain.
