Baikonur. October 20. Kazakhstan Today - Launch from Baikonur of the carrier rocket Proton-M with the space vehicle Astra-1M has been postponed for November, 3, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.

According to the source, according to the schedule of preparation, launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with the space vehicle Astra-1M was planned for October 31, however, last night it was postponed for November 3.

The source informed that preparation for launch of Luxembourg satellite Astra-1M has been undergoing according to the schedule. The space vehicle is being checked before joining with the transitive system and the booster block Breeze-M.

The satellite Astra-1M was made by the European concern EADS Astrium by the order of companies SES-Astra (Luxembourg). The space vehicle weighting more than 6 tons is equipped with 36 transponders and intended for granting telecommunication services and TV signals in HDTV format.

The satellite Astra-1M life service is 15 years.
