Launch of the rocket carrier Proton-M with the space vehicle Inmarsat 4F3 scheduled for August 14 from Baikonur has been postponed, the agency reports referring to the press service of Hrunichev State Space Research and Production Center.

The exact launch date of British telecommunication satellite Inmarsat 4F3 by means of the rocket carrier Proton-M will be defined this week.

According to the press service, launch of the rocket carrier Proton-M with the space vehicle Inmarsat 4F3 has been postponed in connection with necessity of replacement and re-testing of electro technical component on the carrier.

"During carrying out of pre-starting tests at Baikonur the onboard computer systems of the booster block Breeze-M had defects. The computing system has been replaced," the press service informed.

The experts of Hrunichev State Space Research and Production Center are checking the new system. "Launch has been postponed for several days. New launch date will be announced not later than this week after completion of the tests," the press service informs.

Space vehicle Inmarsat 4F3 weighting about 6 tons was made by Concern EADS Astrium on the basis of platform EUROSTAR 3000 by the order of one of the largest international operators of global system of mobile satellite communication Inmarsat (Great Britain).
