Launch of rocket Proton, space vehicle Sirius-4 scheduled for November 18

The launch of the rocket Proton with the space vehicle Sirius-4 has been scheduled for November 18, the agency reports referring to the press service of M. Hrunichev state space research-and-manufacturing center.

Baikonur. October 24. Kazakhstan Today - The launch of the rocket Proton with the space vehicle Sirius-4 has been scheduled for November 18, the agency reports referring to the press service of M. Hrunichev state space research-and-manufacturing center.

The date of the next launch of Proton has been declared by the joint Russian-American enterprise ILS (International Launch Services Inc.) that includes Space Transport Inc., M. Hrunichev state space research-and-manufacturing center and the Energy, rendering services of launches of space vehicles with the use of rocket-carriers Proton and Atlas (USA).

At present the space vehicle Sirius-4 is in the assembly-test case of platform 92А-50 where its pre-starting preparation is being carried out.

Despite of the official announcement of the launch date of Proton, the date of launch of Proton with the space satellite Sirius-4 will be known only after lifting the ban by Kazakhstan on launches of the rockets Proton from Baikonur.
