Legislative base of Kazakhstan to be brought into accord with ecological standards

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, today during the board of the Ministry of the Environmental Protection gave the assignment to bring the legislative base of Kazakhstan into accord with the highest ecological standards, the agency reports.

Astana. January 30. Kazakhstan Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, today during the board of the Ministry of the Environmental Protection gave the assignment to bring the legislative base of Kazakhstan into accord with the highest ecological standards, the agency reports.

"There is a question: if the large foreign companies (European, American, Chinese, Russian, which work in the territory of Kazakhstan) use precisely same requirements related to their manufacture they have in the territory of Kazakhstan as they use in their countries?" the Prime Minister addressed the participants of the board.

"We need to study our legislative base once again. It should be adapted so that all the highest ecological standards corresponding to the best world practice have been applied in Kazakhstan," K. Masimov concluded.
