May 7th to be a national holiday

Almaty. September 20. Kazakhstan Today - May 7th, Homeland Defender Day, will be a national holiday. MPs made the appropriate amendments to the law relating to holidays.

The Majilis has also voted for the ratification of a treaty on combating criminal income laundering and terrorism financing while transferring money across the borders of the Customs Union. On the basis of this information the customs authorities will have to suspend the operation," Bolat Zhamishev, Kazakh Minister of Finance said.

"We find it necessary to raise a question on the modernization of the Almaty - Astana highway by extending it to four lanes and installing a barrier to separate lanes of traffic moving in opposite directions.
