Minister of Labor and Social Protection met UN representatives

The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbayev met the UN representatives, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection press service informed the agency.

Astana. September 26. Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berdibek Saparbayev met the UN representatives, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection press service informed the agency.

"Berdibek Saparbayev met the Resident-Coordinator of the United Nations, the permanent representative of the UN Development Program (UNDP) Haolyan Shu and the chairman of the representation of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kazakhstan Sezar Dubon," the message widespread by the press service states.

During the talks Haolyan Shu confirmed that UNDP will continue to support the efforts of the government of Kazakhstan within the limits of a long-term priority of strategy of development of Kazakhstan till 2030 and programs of further strengthening of social reforms.

Sezar Dubon informed B. Saparbayev that on November 10-17, 2007 the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Antonio Guterres plans to pay working visit to Central Asia. In this connection, the parties discussed the question of organization of the meeting of the minister with the UNHCR High Commissioner.

In his turn, the minister emphasized that the ministry will actively continue existing cooperation with the UNDP and UNHCR on realization of the projects carried out by the special international organizations in Kazakhstan.
