New Labor Legislation to come into effect in Kazakhstan

Astana. June 1. Kazakhstan Today - New Labor Legislation will come into effect in Kazakhstan, the agency repots. "The Labor Code of the Republic Kazakhstan adopted by the Parliament... will be put into operation since June 1, 2007, except for item 2, article 122, clause 204, item 1, clause 239, sub item 5, item 5, clause 276, which will be put into operation since January 1 2008, the press release of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection states.

"Strengthening in the Kazakhstan Labor Code of world experience of regulation of labor relations will promote adaptation of the system of labor relations in the Republic for the introduction into the World Trading Organization (WTO) and guarantee of performance of conventional principles and norms of the international law and the obligations following from the international contracts ratified by the Republic Kazakhstan," the press release emphasized.
