So in order to create a terminal with 4 wharves, a 71-kilometer canal leading to the sea was dug, the canal's length is 4.8 m, and width - 61 m.

Cargo from Volga-Baltic Canal transported through the canal. It is able to accommodate barges of up to 2 thousand tons," said Nurtas Kenganov.

After the completion of the project to expand the Tengiz field, the terminal, which is a small port, reportedly will be given to Kazakhstan.
