The news agency France-Press has opened its office in Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the TV channel Khabar.

Almaty. May 26. Kazakhstan Today - The news agency France-Press has opened its office in Kazakhstan, the agency reports citing the TV channel Khabar.

"The agency is interested in working in Central Asia and in our country in particular because Kazakhstan will chair the OSCE in 2010 and foreign readers have an increasing interest in the country, its politics, economy, and culture," the president of the board of the news agency Agency France-Press, Pierre Louet, informed.

"We would lime to cover the events in this country because it is the heart of Central Asia. Our correspondents will cover not only political and economic events, but will also about its culture, traditions and history. We will introduce to the Europeans the country that will chair the OSCE in 2010."
