Nur Otan Party to expel members involved in corruption criminal cases

Astana. April 11. Kazakhstan Today - Nur Otan Party plans to expel from its membership people involved in criminal cases on corruption. The chairman of the Council for Struggle against Corruption, the deputy of the Senate of the Parliament Oralbay Abdykarimov said today during the session of the Republican Council of the National Democratic Party Nur Otan, the agency reports.

"We requested the information from the State Office of Public Prosecutor about corruption cases on the territory of the Republic of the names and plots of the cases, which after processing is directed to the regional branches for control and acceptances of measures," he said.

"In total, for 2 months, 2008 332 criminal cases have been instituted concerning 218 people, 68 of whom are the members of Nur Otan. Everything is being done so that these people are expelled from the party," O. Abdykarimov emphasized.
