ОЭСР to observe realization of recommendations on struggle against corruption in Kazakhstan

Astana. May 22. Kazakhstan Today - The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (ОECD) is carrying out in Kazakhstan monitoring of realization of the recommendations on struggle against corruption, the agency reports.

From May 21-25 in Kazakhstan the group of international OECD experts have been carrying out monitoring of realization of the Istanbul Plan of Action of ОECD by Kazakhstan on struggle against corruption, vice President of the Kazakhstan Agency on struggle against economic and corruption criminality Kayrat Kozhamzharov informed in the interview. "The first working meeting with the OECD experts, the main goal of which is estimation of the measures applied by the state to decrease the level of corruption in Kazakhstan, will take place today," he said.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (ОECD), being a successor of the Organizations for the European Economic Cooperation, was created on September 1, 1961 in Paris. The organization unites more than 30 countries. The Anticorruption network for the countries with transit economy, the members of which are 23 countries of Central, Southeast, the East Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, was created within the limits of OECD in 1998.
