Patriarch of Moscow and all Russian Cyril visits Kazakhstan

The head of Russian orthodox church has been in Kazakhstan for a vicarial visit, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

Almaty. January 18. Kazakhstan Today - The head of Russian orthodox church has been in Kazakhstan for a vicarial visit, the agency reports citing ITAR-TASS.

During a three-day trip, the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Cyril will visit Almaty and Astana. He will perform divine services, meet the President of Kazakhstan and the public, and honore the memory of fallen in the Great Patriotic War, the press service of the Moscow patriarch informed.

As informed earlier, the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Cyril during the visit to Kazakhstan, January, 16 - January 18, will consecrate Piously-Uspensky cathedral of Astana.

"Most Holy Patriarch Cyril has been in Kazakhstan, by the invitation of the head of our state, during the period from January, 16 until January, 18, 2010, for a vicarial visit to our country," the metropolitan of Astana and Almaty Mefody informed.
