Polling stations organized for presidential elections of Tajikistan in Astana, Almaty

Astana. November 3. Kazakhstan Today - The citizens of Tajikistan being temporarily on the territory of Kazakhstan can take part in the presidential elections of the Republic. For this purpose in Astana and Almaty polling stations have been organized, the Embassy of Tajikistan in Kazakhstan informed the agency.

Next presidential elections in Tajikistan will take place on November 6. "The citizens of Tajikistan temporary or permanently living in Kazakhstan can also take part in the elections. In the cities of Astana and Almaty special polling stations have been organized by the Embassy of Tajikistan," the message states.

In Astana the polling station will be opened in the building of the Embassy of Tajikistan, in Almaty - in the building of the Embassy representation. "On the election day on November 6, 2006 voting will be held from 6.00 till 20.00.

As it was informed earlier, pre-election campaign was officially entered by five candidates - the leader of the National Democratic party, the present President Emomali Rakhmonov, the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Majilisi deputy of Tajikistan Ismoil Talbakov, the leader of the Party of Economic Reforms, the rector of Tadjik Transport Institute Olimdzhon Boboyev, the Chairman of the Socialist Party Abdukhalim Gafarov and the leader of the Agrarian party Amir Karakulov.
