Astana. October 2. Kazakhstan Today - Pre-election campaign of candidates of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan will come to an end today. The chairman of Central Election Committee of Kazakhstan, Kuandyk Turgankulov, informed today at the briefing, the agency reports.

"According to the planned schedule of preparation and elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament, pre-election campaign of candidates will come to an end on October 2 at 24.00," K. Turgankulov said.

According to the chairman of the Central Election Committee, "at the moment all 37 candidates of the Senate have been registered in the Republic." "Cancellation of the registration of candidates or the returned earlier withdrawn candidates 2 days prior to elections is not allowed. All of them will take part in the forthcoming elections," he said.

"2 candidates have withdrawn their nomination out of 53 registered deputies before completion of the term of registration and 12 candidates have withdrawn their nomination after the term of registration. Registration of two more candidates has been cancelled in connection with revealing of discrepancy of the information provided by them about their income and property," K. Turgankulov explained.

Central Election Committee on the basis of representation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has accredited 58 international observers. 49 observers are a part of CIS mission, 5 - SCO mission and 4 more observers represent foreign states.
