Preparation for launch of rocket Soyuz-FG with manned ship Soyuz TMA-12 continues at Baikonur

Today, the experts of the cosmodrome continue pre-starting preparation of the booster rocket Soyuz-FG placed on the starting complex of the platform №1 in the morning, April 6.

Yesterday, the works on the booster rocket, according to the schedule of the first starting day, have been completed. Today the experts will start operations, according to the schedule of the second day, to check the systems of the booster rocket and readiness of the booster rocket and imitation of re-fuelling of the rocket.

The launch of the booster rocket Soyuz-FG with the manned ship Soyuz TMA-12 with the crew of the 17th basic expedition and the 14th expedition is planned for April 8 at 17.16 p.m. Astana time from the platform №1 of the cosmodrome.

The manned ship will transport the basic crew of the 17th expedition that includes of Russian cosmonauts Sergey Volkov and Oleg Kononenko and the cosmonaut of the 14th expedition, the citizen of South Korea Li So En to the International Space Station.
