Preparation of rocket Soyuz-FG for pilot launch began at Baikonur

The works on preparation for launch of Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with Soyuz TMA-15 spacecraft proceed at the cosmodrome Baikonur, the agency reports citing the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

Almaty. May 7. Kazakhstan Today - The works on preparation for launch of Soyuz-FG carrier rocket with Soyuz TMA-15 spacecraft proceed at the cosmodrome Baikonur, the agency reports citing the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

Soyuz-FG carrier rocket launch with Soyuz TMA-15 spacecraft is planned for May, 27th at 14.34 in Moscow and at 16.34 in Astana.

The crew in the structure of: Roman Romanenko (Roscosmos), Franc De Winne (European Space Agency) and Robert Thirsk (Canadian Space Agency) will take off for the International Space Station.

According to Roscosmos press service, the rocket carrier Soyuz-U will be launched today from Baikonur.

As informed earlier, the rocket carrier Soyuz-U is planned to be launched on May, 8th, 2009 at 00.37 in Astana (on May, 7th at 22.37 in Moscow).
