Project on prevention of labor conflicts will be launched in Almaty

Almaty. 24 May. Kazakhstan Today - The International Human Rights Center is implementing the project "Enbek Sakshysy" on the state social order of the Internal Policy Department of Almaty Akimat this year.

According to the State Labour and Migration Inspectorate Administration of Almaty in 2016 more than 4,000 citizens and companies applied to the Department. During inspections 1164 violations of labor legislation were revealed, wage arrears were established at 123 enterprises for a total of KZT 593 million. 449 officials and legal entities were brought to administrative responsibility for the amount of KZT 62 million. Compared to 2015 there was a reduction in payroll arrears by KZT 559 million or by 48.5%. For untimely payment of wages 270 legal entities were held administratively liable to the amount of 42 million tenge, Kazakhstan Today reports.

The implemented project "Enbek Sakshysy" of the Almaty Internal Policy Department provides for measures to identify social and labor problems and prevent labor conflicts, explain the current labor legislation, a series of seminars for cadres, representatives of trade unions and members of conciliation commissions on point clarification of the Labor Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mediation and negotiation process

The presentation of the Enbeks Sakshysy project and seminars on the basics of the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the negotiation process and mediation (an alternative way of settling disputes) will be held on May 26, 29 and 31 in the conference hall of the Almaty Union of Trade Unions (2nd floor) at: Almaty, street Kurmangazy, 48-a, Furmanov's corner, beginning at 09.00.

As the press service of Almaty Akim informed earlier the city Akimat paid special attention to labor productivity and modernization. Within the framework of the Business Support Card implementation for the last two years 27 new manufactures in the manufacturing industry have been opened in Almaty enabling the creation of 2.5 thousand jobs. In the Industrial Zone, 38 projects are beginning to operate with 5,000 permanent jobs. About 192 billion tenge of investments were attracted for their realization.

It should be reminded that in the address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan special attention is paid to the growth of the well-being of Kazakhstan citizens, which is declared the main goal of state policy, a special role in it is assigned to private investments and projects aimed at "real results for the population", while "Inefficient costs or those that can be covered by the private sector should be excluded from the budget."

"It is necessary to foresee the measures to increase mobility of labor resources, primarily aimed at stimulating migration from the labor surplus to the labor-deficit regions," the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted.

"For " unloading "of budgetary expenditures it is necessary to apply the mechanisms of public-private partnership more actively," it is stated in the address.
