Quantity of HIV infected children in South Kazakhstan increased

Shymkent. January 25. Kazakhstan Today - The quantity of HIV infected children in the South Kazakhstan oblast increased by one more child, the agency reports.

"For January 24, the quantity of children with HIV diagnosis has totaled 88 people," the regional department of public health services press secretary informed the agency. "The quantity of HIV infected mothers remains the same," she added.

Thus, for today 88 HIV infected children have been registered, eight of whom died, and one has been adopted and taken out abroad. 12 mothers of the infected children have been diagnosed HIV positive.
