Dushanbe. November 7. Kazakhstan Today - The current President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmonov won presidential elections in Tajikistan taken place on November 6. 76.4 % voted for the E. Rakhmonov, the agency reports.
According to the Central Electoral Committee of Tajikistan, 91 % of voters participated in the elections.
The population of Tajikistan makes about 7 million people. 3.2 million people have the right to vote.
Five candidates applied for the post of the Head of the State - the leader of the National Democratic Party, the current President Emomali Rakhmonov, the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the Majilisi deputy Ismoil Talbakov, the leader of the Party of Economic Reforms, the rector of Tajik Transport Institute Olimdzhon Boboev, the Chairman of the Socialist Party Abdukhalim Gafarov and the leader of the Agrarian Party Amir Karakulov.

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
