Rocket Proton-M, Norwegian satellite Top-2Р launched from Baikonur
Baikonur. February 12. Kazakhstan Today - The carrier rocket Proton-M with Norwegian satellite Top-2Р has been launched from Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the source at the cosmodrome.
The launch was planned to be carried out on February 10, however, due to technical malfunction in the ground equipment, prior to the beginning of re-fuelling of the carrier rocket, the state commission made a decision to postpone launch for reserve day - February 11.
Launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M was made on Monday at 17.33 by Astana time from launcher №39 of the starting complex of platform №200 and took place in a regular mode, the source informs.
As it was informed earlier, the space rocket Torahs-2Р at the weight of 2450 kg was made by corporation Orbital Sciences Corporation (OSC, the USA). The customer of the space rocket Torahs-2Р is the Norwegian company Telenor, rendering services of mobile and fixed communications, as well as data transmission and television signal.

Oil spill detected in Caspian Sea
According to space monitoring data, received from Sentinel-1A (02:43 UTC), an oil spill was detected on March 30 in the area of Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea. The spill area is about 7 square kilometers. The spill was drifting to the north of the Caspian Sea," the publication reads.
If these facts are confirmed by Atyrau region’s Ecology Department, unscheduled inspection will be conducted at the North Caspian Operating Company. The results will be reported additionally," the Ecology Committee says.
