Rocket Soyuz, transport ship Progress M-59 set on launching Baikonur complex

Baikonur. January 16. Kazakhstan Today - The career rocket Soyuz with the transport ship Progress M-59 has been set on the launching complex of the cosmodrome Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the Federal Space Center press service.

"Today at 6.30 a.m. by local time Soyuz-U was delivered from the assembly-test case of 112 platform where joining of the carrier with the head part of the rocket and "transport ship" took place. The rocket has been transported to the launching complex of platform 1 and at 10.00 a.m. established in a vertical position on the launching "table", the press service informed.

As it was informed earlier, the forthcoming launch, the first in 2007, will be devoted to 100-year anniversary of the founder of domestic rocket technology Sergey Korolev.

Soyuz and Progress M-59 launch from the cosmodrome Baikonur has been scheduled for 8.12, Astana time on January 18.
