Rocket Soyuz-FG, four satellites GlobalStar launched from Baikonur

The rocket Soyuz-FG with four satellites GlobalStar were launched from Baikonur, the agency reports.

Baikonur. October 22. Kazakhstan Today - The rocket Soyuz-FG with four satellites GlobalStar was launched from Baikonur, the agency reports.

Launch of the carrier rocket was performed at 2.12. a.m. by Astana time from the starting complex of platform №31 and took place in a regular mode. The space vehicles were delivered by a booster rocket Soyuz-FG to the law-earth orbit, and by means of the booster block Frigate 4 satellite were delivered to a rated orbit at the height of about 1400 km.

The system of satellite communication GlobalStar was developed by the consortium from the international telecommunication companies for granting high-quality satellite services to a range of audience of the users, including voice communication, service of short messages, roaming, facsimile communication, data transmission.

The system GlobalStar is intended for granting services of satellite mobile communication outside of local network, in the removed areas with absence of ground communication and international roaming.

The launch of satellites GlobalStar from Baikonur, the second this year, the previous took place in May, 2007, will create a reserve of orbital grouping out of 48 working and 4 spare satellites, located in a low-earth orbit, at the height of 1414 km from the surface of the Earth.
