Rocket Soyuz-FG, piloted ship Soyuz TMA-11 placed on starting complex of Baikonur

Rocket Soyuz-FG with the piloted ship Soyuz TMA-11 have been placed on a starting complex of Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

Baikonur. October 9. Kazakhstan Today - Rocket Soyuz-FG with the piloted ship Soyuz TMA-11 have been placed on a starting complex of Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

According to the press service, on Monday at 7.00, the carrier rocket Soyuz-FG was taken out from the assembly-test case of platform №112 and delivered to the railway platform to starting complex and placed on starting panel of platform №1 in vertical position.

The experts of the cosmodrome started works according to the schedule and are carrying out joining of the land and onboard equipment. After docking works the checks of the systems of the carrier rocket and the space ship will begin

The structure of the main crew includes: commander of the space rocket Soyuz TMA-11 Jury Malenchenko (Russia), commander of the International space station Peggy Whitson (USA), the participant of the space flight sheikh Muszafar Shukor (Malaysia). The duplicating crew has included: the commander of the space ship Salijan Sharipov (Russia), flight engineer - Edward Michael Fink (USA), the participant of the flight Faiz bin Halid (Malaysia).

According to the Federal Space center press service, the main crew of the expedition to the International Space Center will be approved on October 9 at the state commission session.

As it was informed earlier, launch of Soyuz-FG with the piloted ship Soyuz TMA-11 with the crew of the 16th basic expedition and the 13th expedition have been planned from platform №1 on October 10, at 19.22 by Astana time (17.22 Moscow time).
