Romania supported Kazakhstan OSCE presidency in 2009

Astana. December 4. Kazakhstan Today - Romania stated its support of Kazakhstan nomination for the presidency in OSCE in 2009, Kazakh MFA press service informed the agency.

According to the department, The President's adviser of Romania A. Ilinoy met the charge d'affaires of foreign policy of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Ordabayev on the occasion of delivery of congratulation of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the President of Romania Traian on November 30, 2006 in Bucharest.

During the meeting A. Ilinoy stated official support of Kazakhstan nominee in OSCE presidency in 2009. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Romania Mihai Ungureanu will officially inform on this decision in Brussels during the meeting with the head of the foreign policy department of Kazakhstan Kasymzhomart Tokayev on December 4, 2006.

As it was informed earlier, the decision was adopted in the view of contemporary achievements of Kazakhstan and high international authority of the Republic. Romania attaches priority significance to development of mutually beneficial bilateral relations with Kazakhstan.
