Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan handed over 15 anniversary medals Admiral Kuznetsov to Akmola veterans of Second World War

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Kazakhstan Michael Bocharnikov congratulated Akmola veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the forthcoming Day of Seniors.

Kazakhstan Today - The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Kazakhstan Michael Bocharnikov congratulated Akmola veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the forthcoming Day of Seniors. At the meeting, organized by akim of the oblast Majit Esenbayev, 15 anniversary medals Admiral Kuznetsov were handed over to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the agency reports.

"Carrying out the assignment of the President of Russia, I am handing you over these medals. We remember and appreciate heroism you accomplished, defending our country from fascism," M. Bocharnikov said, addressing the veterans.

For the first time, anniversary medals Admiral Kuznetsov this year were awarded to the Kazakhstan veterans of Navy fleet from Semipalatinsk and Astana.

This award was founded two years ago by the commander-in-chief of Navy fleet of Russia - in honor of the 100 anniversary of a well-known admiral of the Great Patriotic War Nikolay Kuznetsov.
