Russian organizations in Kazakhstan call government to use two languages in office work

Almaty. August 21. Kazakhstan Today - The Russian organizations acting on the territories of Kazakhstan, call the government of the Republic to take measures that office work in the country conducted in two languages - Kazakh and Russian. The application was adopted at the joint conference of Coordination Council of Russians, Cossack and Slavic organizations of Kazakhstan and the Union of the Cossack Public Associations of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.

"Hasty transition of office work into the state language deprives millions of Russian and Russian-speaking citizens of the constitutional language equality and will lead to strengthening of migratory moods".

According to Kazakhstan Constitution, the state language in Kazakhstan is Kazakh. Russian is used in the state organizations and institutions of local government equally with Kazakh.
