Space satellite KazSat-1 lost its working capacity

Astana. December 2. Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of National Space Agency of Kazakhstan, Talgat Musabayev, stated that the space satellite KazSat-1 has completely lost its working capacity. Mr. Musabayev informed in the Committee of Majilis Chamber for International Affairs, Defense and Security during the debate of the bill of the Republic of Kazakhstan on ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on cooperation development in effective utilization of the complex Baikonur.

"On the night of November, 26th, the satellite KazSat-1 completely lost its working capacity and stopped responding to any commands," T. Musabayev said.

T. Musabayev informed that the satellite KazSat-2 is planned to be launch in the near future. "More than 65% has been pre-paid for maintenance and creation of the satellite KazSat-2, which is practically similar to the first," the chairman of National Space Agency informed.
