Spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 intended for launch of crew of cosmonauts to ISS delivered to Baikonur

The spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 intended for launch of the crew of cosmonauts to the International Space Station in October, 2008, has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

Baikonur. August 22. Kazakhstan Today - The spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 intended for launch of the crew of cosmonauts to the International Space Station in October, 2008, has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

According to the press service, the train from Korolev city arrived at the station that delivered from the factory of experimental mechanical engineering of S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation the spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 and auxiliary equipment today in the morning.

After carrying out of customs registration procedures the train will be transported to the assembly testing complex of the platform №254 for pre-starting preparation of the spacecraft.

Launch of the manned spaceship Soyuz TMA-13 with the crew to the International Space Station is scheduled for October 12, 2008.

The basic crew of the 18th basic expedition in the structure of the Russian cosmonaut, Jury Lonchakov, American astronaut, Edward Michael Fink, and the space tourist, the cosmonaut of the 15th expedition, American, Richard Gerriot, are preparing for flight in the Star Town.

Arrival at the cosmodrome Baikonur of the basic and back up crews for the final stage of pre-starting preparation is expected in the end of September - the beginning of October.
