Spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 with crew of cosmonauts launched from Baikonur

The spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 with the crew of cosmonauts was successfully launched from Baikonur, the agency reports.

Baikonur. October 13. Kazakhstan Today - The spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 with the crew of cosmonauts was successfully launched from Baikonur, the agency reports.

The carrier rocket Soyuz-FG with the piloted ship Soyuz TMA-13 was launched yesterday, October 12, from the platform №1 of the cosmodrome at 13.01 Astana time.

Pre-starting preparation of the carrier rocket, starting complex and the crew of cosmonauts passed according to the schedule and the launch was made in a regular mode at the scheduled time.

The spacecraft Union TMA-13 with Russian cosmonaut Jury Lonchakov, American astronaut Michael Fink, and the participant of space flight, an American Richard Garriott, was launched into circumterraneous orbit.

Joining of the ship Soyuz TMA-13 with the International Space Station (ISS) is planned in two days, October 14, at 12.33 Moscow time.

Jury Lonchakov and Michael Fink will work on ISS for half a year. Richard Garriot will work on ISS for 10 days and then, on October 24, will return to the land in the ship Soyuz TMA-12 together with Sergey Volkov and Oleg Kononenko, who finished their semi-annual work on ISS. The landing of the ship Soyuz TMA-12 is planned in Kazakhstan on October 24 at 09.36 Astana time (07.36 Moscow time).
