State Office of Public Prosecutor began inspection of blood donors for presence of hepatitis C

Each donor in the Republic who donated blood will be checked in the process of investigation of the reasons of infection with hepatitis C. The official representative of the department, Nurdaulet Suindikov, informed at a briefing in Astana, the agency reports.

"This month, the State Office of Public Prosecutor drew the preliminary conclusions concerning the investigation of the reasons of infection with hepatitis C, however, they did not give us the grounds for a simple legal assessment of the health services' work," N. Suindikov informed.

"The experts, the state organizations of public health services, and some experts of the public independent medical organizations help the State Office of Public Prosecutor to check the donors."

As informed earlier, the State Office of Public Prosecutor of Kazakhstan has been studying the materials of the inspection of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan of the facts of infection of children with the virus of hepatitis C.

"The Office of Public Prosecutor of Almaty has been inspecting the situation with infection of children with the virus of hepatitis C. The State Office of Public Prosecutor has requested the materials of the check from the Ministry of Health," N. Suindikov informed.

"If we reveal any law infringements or some signs of criminal activities, we will take measures to eliminate them and punish the guilty," he underlined.
