Testing of cargo transport Progress М-65 intended for launch completed at Baikonur

The testing of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 intended for launch to ISS in September have been completed at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

Baikonur. August 20. Kazakhstan Today - The tests of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 intended for launch to ISS in September have been completed at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

According to the press service, the experts of Korolev Rocket Space Corporation Energy and the Federal Space Center Baikonur finished testing for tightness of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 in a vacuum-chamber.

After completion of the tests the ship was erected in the stand and the experts of the cosmodrome have started works on preparation for re-fuelling of impellent installation of the spacecraft with the components of fuel and compressed gases.

The launch of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 by means of the rocket carrier Union-U is planned for September 10, 2008.

The cargo transport ship Progress М-65 will deliver to the international space station about 4.5 tons of cargoes: foodstuffs, fuel and scientific equipment.
