Tests of the spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 have been conducted at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the Baikonur cosmodrome.

Baikonur. September 19. Kazakhstan Today - Tests of the spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 have been conducted at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the Baikonur cosmodrome.

The experts of Korolev Space and Rocket Corporation Energy and the Federal Space Center Baikonur have conducted tests of the spacecraft in a vacuum-chamber in the assembly test complex of the platform №254. The experts of the cosmodrome are testing and checking air-tightness of the spacecraft placed in a vacuum-chamber

After the tests the spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 will be placed in the stand for continuation of preparation for launch.

The spacecraft Union TMA-13 will be ready up to the end of September for arrival to the cosmodrome of the crews for pre-starting preparation.

The ship will transport to the International Space Station the main crew of the 18 basic expedition: the Russian cosmonaut, Jury Lonchakov, American astronaut, Edward Michael Fincke, and the cosmonaut of the 15th expedition, the American Richard Garriot.

Launch of the spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13 with the crew on the international space station is planned for October 12, 2008.
