Tests of transport cargo space ship Progress М-65 intended for launch to ISS in September carried out at Baikonur

Tests of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 intended for launch to the International Space Station in September are being carried out at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.

Baikonur. August 14. Kazakhstan Today - Tests of the cargo transport ship Progress М-65 intended for launch to the International Space Station in September are being carried out at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.

The experts of the cosmodrome are testing and checking air-tightness of the spacecraft Progress М-65 placed in a vacuum-chamber.

After completion of the tests for air-tightness works on preparation for re-fuelling with components of fuel will begin on the spacecraft.

The transport cargo spacecraft Progress М-65 by means of the rocket carrier Soyuz-U launch is planned for September 10, 2008.

The transport cargo spacecraft Progress М-65 is intended to deliver to the international space station about 4.5 tons of cargoes: foodstuffs, fuel and scientific equipment.
