Third space vehicle Glonass- M delivered to Baikonur

Baikonur. October 5. Kazakhstan Today - The third space vehicle Glonass-M has been delivered to Baikonur, the agency reports referring to the press service of the Federal Space Center Baikonur.

Containers with the space vehicle Glonass-M have been transported to assembly-test case of platform 92А50, where preparation of the satellite for launch together with two other satellites Glonass-M, which had arrived earlier at the cosmodrome, will be carried out.

The works on check of the systems of two satellites Glonass-M intended for launch have been carried out.

According to the schedule of launches, launch of РН Proton-K with the booster block DM and the block from three space vehicles of Glonass-M had been planned for October 25, 2007. However, РН Proton-M crash and the followed interdiction on launches of similar rocket-carriers have been postponed the launch of satellites Proton-M for uncertain time.

The launch date of three satellites Glonass-M by means of the booster rocket Proton-M and booster block DM will be defined after the end of the work of the commission investigating the reasons of РН Proton-M crash and ban lift on carrying out of Proton launches".
