Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed the importance of expanding the international presence of Kazakhstan’s culture during a meeting with Minister of Culture and Information Arman Kyrykbayev, according to the Akorda presidential press service.
The president also instructed the ministry to further develop culture and the creative industries and step up efforts to preserve and promote the country’s historical and cultural heritage.
"Particular attention was paid to state information policy. The president believes efforts should be focused on strengthening the country’s domestic information space, including by improving legislation to reflect today’s digital realities," the statement said.
Tokayev also instructed officials to continue systematic efforts to strengthen social cohesion and create conditions for young people to realise their creative potential.
