Tourism gives a large income - Nazarbayev

The head of state told the prospects of tourism development in the Alakol area.
Tourism gives a large income. It was said by President Nursultan Nazarbayev at the meeting with journalists of the central and local media in Taldykorgan.

Yesterday, I was in Alakol Lake. I visited it intentionally. I would like to pay attention of all Kazakhstan citizens that we have a wonderful place of rest in the centre of the country, which has not been developed over this period. There was no infrastructure, there were no hospitals. There were no appropriate places of rest that could correspond to the highest international standards. And, in this connection, it is for certain that Akshi and the entire Alakol area develops. People are provided with jobs. Visitors can rent rooms, houses. It also give an income. That is, tourism gives a large income," said the head of state.

At the same time, the head of state emphasized that the state created all favorable conditions to develop the sector.

On the other hand, the state constructed a road of Almaty-Talgykorgan. The road will be paved to Alakol, East Kazakshtan region. That is a straight-through road with many camps, as well as many people will be employed," said the President of the country.

We note that yesterday following the meeting on development of a tourism potential of the region and visiting facilities of a tourism cluster, Nursultan Nazarbayev gave a number of specific instructions to the central, state and local executive bodies on further development of tourism in the country.

Alakol should be the most visiting place in Kazakhstan. It is distinguished by its location that makes it accessible for citizens of all regions. The lake’s uniqueness is in its treatment qualities of water, which contains radon, lye and other valuable elements. In this connection, Alakol is of a great importance for our tourism industry," said the head of state.
