Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan to discuss delimitation of national sectors of Caspian Sea in Baku

Negotiations of the Azerbaijan and Turkmen working groups in bilateral format concerning delimitation of the national sectors of the Caspian Sea will take place in Baku in the first half of February, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan informed the agency.

According to the ministry, the question was discussed on January 17 during the meeting in Ashkhabad of the deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Halaf Halafov and vice Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.

"The parties noted importance of continuation of bilateral discussions concerning delimitation of the borders of the Caspian Sea. The meeting of the working groups of two countries will take place in Baku in the first half of February," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
