USA to allocate $1 billion to create vaccine against virus A (H1N1)

The American authorities will allocate $1 billion to create a vaccine against the virus of the influenza A (H1N1). The vaccine will be ready by October, 2009, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

Almaty. July 13. Kazakhstan Today - The American authorities will allocate $1 billion to create a vaccine against the virus of the influenza A (H1N1). The vaccine will be ready by October, 2009, the agency reports citing RIA RosBusinessConsulting (RBC).

According to the U.S. Secretary of Health & Humans Services, Kathleen Sebelius, $1 billion will be allocated for creation of a vaccine against A (H1N1) virus and manufacture of its numerous components. Vaccination against the influenza will begin in the middle of October, 2009.

According to the information published by World Health Organization (WHO), as of July 6, 2009, 94 thousand 512 cases of disease of the influenza A (H1N1) have been confirmed in the world. 429 people have died. The largest number of cases of the disease has been registered in the USA (33 thousand 902 people, 170 have died).
